The Odeon Institute, in full compliance with the Fundação Theatro Municipal and the Municipal Secretary of Culture, made the decision to cancel until the end of this year all the live performances planned for the Theatro Municipal de São Paulo and for Praça das Artes, as way to protect employees and artists in the house and avoid contagion with the new coronavirus.

 

Current health security protocols point to the inability of face-to-face presentations in the short and medium term. In this way, all operas scheduled for 2020 are officially canceled. They are Aída (suspended in March, on the eve of her debut), Razor in the Meat / Paper Men, Don Giovanni and Benjamin.

 

Like the operas, the Balé da Cidade season, the live concerts of the Municipal Symphony Orchestra, the Experimental Repertoire Orchestra, the Paulistano Choir, the Lyrical Choir and the String Quartet were also canceled.

 

The seven projects of the New Modernists series scheduled for 2020 such as Guarani em Chamas, Ópera Rap, Teatro no Municipal and Carmen Deconstructed are also canceled.

 

To the public that has already purchased tickets for the canceled events, the Odeon Institute, as manager of the Theatro Municipal de São Paulo, and promoter of such events, by its choice, aiming to serve the interests of its public, will carry out the refund of the ticket value for those who expressly choose to receive this refund in the period from 09/16/2020 until 10/07/2020. Just observe the following procedure registered below:

 

1. Purchases made through the website www.eventim.com.br:

 

Access the link https://adiamento.eventim.com.br and make your refund request until 10/07/2020.

 

The promoter of the event is responsible for refunding the value of the tickets, the Eventim system being the means that directs the refund request to the bank issuing the credit card used at the time of purchase. The deadline for viewing the reimbursement is up to two invoices, according to the deadlines and rules of the banking institutions, from the date on which the promoter establishes.

 

The cancellation of the purchase will be carried out automatically, and the value of the tickets will be refunded, as soon as they are made available by the promoter of the event and within the terms established by him, according to the Terms and Conditions of Use provided for at www.eventim.com.br/help/ terms /. There will be no refund of service fees, as provided for in paragraph 7 of art. 2, in the referred federal law, and in the referred terms.

 

2. Purchases made at the Box Office and Points of Sale with Debit or Credit cards:

 

Access the link https://adiamento.eventim.com.br and make your refund request until 10/07/2020.

 

The deadline for viewing the chargeback is up to two invoices, according to the closing date of your credit card statement, according to deadlines and rules of the banking institutions, from the date the promoter establishes.

 

After the cancellation of the purchase will be carried out automatically, and the value of the tickets will be refunded in accordance with the Terms and Conditions of Use provided for at www.eventim.com.br/help/terms/. There will be no refund of service fees, as provided for in paragraph 7 of art. 2, of federal law no. 14,046 / 2020, and in the aforementioned Terms.

 

Refunds will be made according to the same payment method used at the time of purchase.

 

IMPORTANT

 

After the end of the period determined above, all customers who have not requested a refund according to the procedure indicated above will have the value of the purchased tickets converted into credit, through a “voucher” that will give the consumer the opportunity to choose new events inserted in the calendar of events at the Theatro Municipal de São Paulo and Praça das Artes, within 12 (twelve) months from the closing date of the state of public calamity recognized by Legislative Decree No. 6, 2020 and which may be used only in shows at the Theatre Municipal de São Paulo, as provided in federal law no. 14,046 / 2020. There will be no possibility of later reversal of this credit in repayment. We are not responsible for purchases made through unofficial channels.
