Review: Theatro Municipal de São Paulo is one of the most important theaters in the city of São Paulo and one of the postcards of the São Paulo capital, both for its architectural style and for its historical importance, for having hosted the Week of Modern Art of 1922, the initial framework of Modernism in Brazilian art and literature.

It was built to house mainly opera and concerts. It is home to the São Paulo Municipal Symphony Orchestra and the Lyric Choir. It is located in the historic center of the city of São Paulo.
