Abstract: Created in 1991 by Paulo Abrão Esper, the Cia Ópera São Paulo, accumulates more than 1500 shows including operas, recitals and concerts with the most renowned Brazilian singers and musicians, together with the main voices of the international lyric scene. In 1993 he idealized and, since then, performs the María Callas Singing Contest, which has already revealed important voices to the lyrical scene. And it brought consecrated lyrical singers, renowned critics, artistic directors, editors of specialized magazines, businessmen and artistic agents to compose the jury bench. It also produces the Grandes Voces Series that, since 1997, a cycle that brings to Brazil consecrated artists for conferences, master classes, recitals and concerts. Our goal is to contribute with young singers to the integration with the world of opera, providing experiences that help in the formation of a solid career in our country and abroad. We work for young artists and contribute to the preservation and dissemination of opera in our society.
