Reunited at the Gran Teatre del Liceu on Thursday, March 21, the Board and Assembly of Ópera XXI, Spanish Association of Theaters, Festivals and Stable Opera Seasons of Spain, it was unanimously agreed to elect Oriol Aguilà as the new president of the association .
.
Oriol Aguilà has been the director of the Castell de Peralada Festival since 2010 and is one of the founding members of the association of opera houses in Spain. He was director of patronage of the Gran Teatre del Liceu during the reconstruction of the Theater and the first decade of operation of the new Liceu, as well as director of strategy and brand of the Corporació Catalana de Mitjans Audiovisuals.

Aguilà assumes in this way the position left by Francisco Potenciano last December, when he also resigned from his duties as general director of the Palau de les Arts in Valencia.
