On August 31st and September 1st, the Ensemble of Teatro del Lago de Frutillar presents a repertoire of the great classics of cinema at the Teatro Solís of Montevideo.

Teatro Solís Montevideo and Fundación Teatro del Lago in Chile come together to offer an audiovisual concert that brings together some of the most memorable scenes in the history of cinema, with their music performed live by the Ensemble Teatro del Lago and guest musicians. On stage violin, viola, cello, flute, piano and double bass dialogue with the screening of excerpts from a selection of the most representative films of the seventh art like The Godfather, Amélie, Breakfast At Tiffany’s, The Great Dictator, Life is Beautiful, Cinema Paradiso, Forest Gump among others.

The ensemble is made up of 5 young professional musicians with international experience, who offer in each season a series of thematic concerts of chamber music, and who are stable teachers of the School of Arts of Teatro del Lago. Also, the group develops an educational work through extension concerts, educational activities and accompaniment for the community.
