A season that will approach classic Italian authors such as Rossini, Donizetti and Puccini. The premiere of La traviata in an itinerant version, in addition to a wide range of activities linked to the fields of artistic production, education and advocacy, marks the new season of the Canary Auditorium.

The first production that will be presented by the Opera de Tenerife will be La italiana en Argel by Rossini, which as usual will be given by the students of Opera (e) Studio, the training academy run by Giulio Zappa. To this title will be added Lucia de Lammermoor de Donizetti; The trip to Reims by Rossini; Turandot de Puccini and continuing with the line of support for the zarzuela, Penella’s classic, El gato montés. The closing of the same one will be in charge of the sixth edition of the International Contest of Canto de Ópera de Tenerife, which it will be enjoyed again by an international cast of great voices. In 2019 the seventh edition of the Masterclass of vocal and interpretive improvement for young talents will be developed.
In addition, the Opera Pocket itinerant proposals -which will replenish the production of the Auditorio de Tenerife, La Traviata – will visit new venues on the island, as well as the Opera en Ruta didactic action, which will bring the ins and outs of the world of opera closer to new audiences and of the titles that make up the offer.
