Continuing its policy of using digital means to overcome the geographical barriers of our continent, Ópera Latinoamérica’s Annual General Meeting (AGM) in Bogotá 2017 will be broadcasted live via streaming. The access will be available from Monday 25th on Teatro Mayor Julio Mario Santo Domingo’s website.

From Monday 25th to Wednesday 27th September 2017, Bogotá will be the setting for the X Opera Latinoamérica AGM. This meeting, which celebrates 10th anniversary of the organisation, has as its core the theme of: “Building Bridges: the value of networking”. This gathering will count with the participation of members of the OLA Network and important national and international guests.

This meeting has a series of activities such as panels, conferences, workshops, business meetings and artistic shows. The main themes that will be addressed by the panels are: “Building Bridges: The Value of Networking”; Co-productions; Creative Economy; Audience Development and Digital Development; which will be led by prominent national and international guests such as Marc Scorca, President of Opera America; Nicholas Payne, Director of Opera Europe; Daniele Borniquez, Head of the Music Department Accademia Teatro alla Scala; Michael Gieleta, Artistic Director of the National Theater of Krakow; Miguel Molinari, Executive Director of the Symphony Foundation for Peru and Wolfgang Graf, Associate Co-founder of Ticket Gretchen.

The venues for this event will be Teatro Colón de Bogotá and the Teatro Mayor Julio Mario Santo Domingo. Mariana Garcés, Minister of Culture of Colombia and María Victoria Alcaraz, President of OLA and General Director Teatro Colón of Buenos Aires will be in charge of the opening.
