The memories of the greatest castrato of all time are mixed with the five arias that he sang every night to Felipe V thanks to the voice of the countertenor Carlos Mena and the music of Forma Antiqua. The show supposes the return to the stages of Manuel Gutiérrez Aragón, in charge of the dramaturgy and stage direction, and counts on Aaron Zapico in the musical direction. In the words of Ruiz Mantilla himself: “we have tried to conceive an original show, nothing to use, in which we want to go to the root of the theater in a sober way – through the monologue of a great actor – but imaginative and suggestive with music from the time”.
