With two concerts, Master Classes of Chamber Music at Teatro del Lago ends
48 professional and semi-professional musicians from Chile and Colombia will culminate an intense week of improvement with two presentations this February 28 and 29, where they will perform pieces by Mozart, Debussy, Bartok, Popper, Von Weber Dvorak, Haydn and Alexander Borodin.
Guided by five European teachers, with brilliant trajectories, numerous awards and recognized discography, 48 students from Chile and Colombia, have perfected this week in the eighth version of International Chamber Music Master Classes Teatro del Lago.
It is an initiative created by the institution as a space for artistic training around chamber music, where professional and semi-professional musicians deepen their knowledge and share them with the public in two concerts that will be held on Friday 28 and Saturday 29 of March.
The course, which began on February 23, has been led by prominent German artists Tanja Tetzlaff (I cello), Gergana Gergova (violin) and Barbara Buntrock (viola), together with the British Sasha Colin (oboe) and Latvia Lauma Skride (piano).
“The CMMC is one of our flagship projects. It is an essential part of our artistic-educational mission that gives artists in training the opportunity to continue improving and sharing with great teachers,” said Macarena Carrió, Education Manager at Teatro del Lago.
“Being studying here in Theater Lake, is a priceless experience. the level of these teachers is so high that you can solve issues in very short time, aspects that perhaps you would take a year” says Felix Herrera, student violin the University of Chile, the second time he attends Master Course of Chamber Music.
“The experience of receiving different classes, of other instruments and sharing with other musicians has been very important. The level of the teachers is spectacular, ”says Bibian Jaramillo, a violin student, a fellowship, from the University of Antioquia, Medellin, Colombia.
“The teachers are very close and assertive when it comes to correcting. They have the ability to make the best of one, in a very short time, ”adds Ramón Altamirano, a Chilean cello student, a graduate of the University of Chile.
The program for this weekend’s concerts includes pieces by renowned authors of classical music such as Mozart, Debussy, Bartok, Popper, Von Weber Dvorak, Haydn and Alexander Borodin, among others, which will be performed by 14 assemblies.
Tickets for CMMC concerts are worth $ 6,000 and can be purchased through the website www.teatrodellago.cl or at the ticket offices of Teatro del Lago.
ABOUT THE TEACHERS
Tanja Tetzlaff has played with the world’s leading orchestras, is also a founding member of the Tetzlaff Quartett.
The violinist Gergana Gergova, meanwhile, has a remarkable career as a soloist and chamber music, has performed worldwide with the Trio Imàge.
Graduated with honors from the Royal Academy of Music in London, Sasha Colin is the main oboe of the Salzburg Mozarteum orchestra and was also a member of the Zurich Opera Orchestra Academy.
Barbara Buntrock was a disciple of the world-renowned violist, Barbara Westphal. He has performed as a soloist with the Stuttgart Chamber Orchestra, the Wuppertal Symphony Orchestra, the Bergisches Land Symphony Orchestra, among others.
Lauma Skride, was a student at the University of Music and Theater in Hamburg and has performed with the Radio symphony orchestras of Frankfurt, Hamburg, Dresden and Gran Canaria.
