OLA participated in the Demand Solutions event of the Inter-American Development Bank

OLA took part for the first time in Demand Solutions, the IDB event that brings together some of the most creative minds in the world to listen, inspire and share innovative solutions that improve lives. The event held its 13th edition in Santiago de Chile, at CorpArtes theatre and gathered more than 600 attendees during the day. The opening was in lead by the Minister of Finance of Chile, Felipe Larraín, and the Representative of the IDB in Chile, Carolyn Robert.

Alejandra Martí, CEO of Ópera Latinoamérica was invited to present the work the OLA Network is doing as pioneers in the region developing and promoting the lyrical genre and the impact of the opera market in the region. She also presented Escena Digital,  a Marketplace that connects theatres, companies and producers with opera and ballet productions already premiered. Escena.digital advance circulation and commercialization of opera and ballet, as well as promoting the work of artists specialized in classical repertoire.

The objective of the event was to highlight the creativity and talent of our region as a business opportunity and economic engine. Was attended by 22 innovators and entrepreneurs from the region and the world, presented on issues such as the impact of video games on education, artificial intelligence applied to food, blockchain technology to generate sustainable fashion, virtual and augmented reality to achieve immersive narratives, the importance of forming digital creatives, the nexus between music and health, spatial creativity and digital art, among others subjects.

Other partners included Google, Startup Chile, Gulliver, Endeavor Chile, ProChile, CityLab, ConnectAmericas and the Chamber of Commerce of Santiago.

Additionally, the IDB and Chile Creative of CORFO held on December 12th, a meeting with artists, designers, musicians, writers, and producers to present the Orange Region campaign and discuss how to position Chile and Latin America in creativity hubs.
